Oh Denise, my heart aches for you and all John's loved ones. All weekend the memories of picking up our boys up from school was tearing me apart. They were good memories. I am so glad the boys kept in touch. So many pictures we have. My favorite is Shaun and John when they made their first communion. Cathleen talked to him a lot. All of us are in shock. If Shaun would have ever known he was sick he would have gone to to see. Shaun had to pull over on the side of the road and broke down. Denise, you and John and all of your family with be with us in our hearts forever. This mothers day was a struggle to get through. My mom is only gone not quite 2 years. Thought of you all weekend.
God Bless you Denise. Your grandson, what a beautiful little boy. John's wife will have a tough road ahead. As a mother I have no words left. I give you my heart and prayers.
God Bless,
Linda

I knew John through similar hospitalizations and became friends. He always talked about Jack & Jennifer. I loved his optimism, always seeing the best in people, ability to be peace keeper & sense of humor. John was going through he'll but didn't complain except about hospital food! He was right! He will be missed. John was one of the good guys in this world.

I was deeply saddened to learn of John's passing this past week. He and I were great friends in high school. I will always remember the countless hours he and I spent on weekends playing guitar, listening to music and just having fun. He was always bright and funny and his family was always very warm and generous. Although I hadn't seen John in many years, I will cherish my memories of him. I'm very happy he was a part of my life. My deepest condolences to all of his family and loved ones during this difficult time. Rest In Peace, John. You will be missed.
