Esak, Richard Lewis January 4, 1951- January 23, 2013
Richard Lewis Esak, 62, died after cardiac arrest on January 23, 2013, while visiting family in Florida. A dedicated and proud father, savvy business professional, and loyal friend, his greatest happiness was derived from time spent with family and friends. Rick also loved to ponder the wonders of the universe and share his thoughts and dreams with his friends and family.
From childhood, Rick was always cheerful and easy-going even with a sister who dressed him up in girl clothes as a toddler. He attended the University of Miami and became the youngest licensed real estate agent in the State of New Jersey. He spent his adult life creating and operating his successful business, Nexus Associates. Rick was passionate about astronomy, deep sea fishing, woodworking, inventing and fixing things. Rick will be remembered, for his kindness, generosity of spirit, his fortitude against obstacles and his forgiving and loving nature. He is survived by his children, Richard “Rickey” Esak, Shamera (Esak) Sandoski, her husband Matthew Sandoski and his siblings, Joseph Ronald Esak; Donna Mae Esak Fulton, M.D.; and John Joseph Esak and the lights of his life, grandson Thomas Mason and granddaughter Meadow Lee Anne Sandoski. Rick is also survived by the mothers of his children, Ann Esak and Barbara Esak Vreeland and many loving nieces and nephews and 2 goddaughters. Rick is predeceased by his devoted parents Joseph Esak and Mae Emerald Tashjy Esak.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a viewing Monday January 28th, 2013 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at The Oakland Memorial Funeral Home 330Ramapo Valley Road Oakland, NJ 07436 Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday January 29, 2013, 11:00a.m. at Assyrian Orthodox Church 644 Paramus Rd Paramus, NJ 07652.
