I'm so sad to hear that my favorite Uncle Pete passed away this week. I've always loved your smile and that unique"Uncle Pete" laugh of yours. It seems like just yesterday you were teaching me how to deep sea fish, which will always be one of my favorite memories with you. Thank you for being such a special brother-in-law and friend to mom during her own time of grieving after the loss of our dad. I find it very comforting to think of you two up there in Heaven getting reacquainted with dad and will hold tight to our promise from Jesus that we will see you all again someday. I'll miss you Uncle Pete!!!
Love your niece,
Robin

I Thank The Lord for having spent this past July 2018 with Pete and Gail at our families homes in California! It was Gail and her brother Don “Buggs” (my husband) birthdays! What an awesome time we all had, especially Pete! He brought whole Lobsters for all of us (packed in his suitcase) and spent time showing some of us how to eat every piece of the Lobster! What fun!
Pete was one of the most knowledgeable men I have ever met! Ask him a question and, IF he didn’t know the answer, he was on his phone, googling to get the information! I will always remember his joking around, helping Sandy with chores needing to be done, encouraging my husband, Buggs, to walk & keep positive with his health issues, and, most of all, his LOVE for Gail, the LOVE of his life!
May you rest peacefully Pete, and know we will all be here for Gail and all your loved ones!
I love you Bro!!!! Dee

The Lyche's will sorely miss Uncle Pete. Thank you Uncle Pete for letting us all stay at your house during summer vacations. Thank you for coming to California for Christmas so we could hang out with Tracey and Jason. Thank you for being so kind and gracious to our family when my dad passed away. Thank you for letting Aunt Gail come to California so she could spend time visiting with mom in her widowhood days. Thank you for being encouraging to Samuel and Noah. Thank you for seeing your cancer as a " BLESSING", that you may in use it to help others in need. That always encouraged and blessed me in all my difficulties. Great attitude. Thank you for accepting Jesus as your Lord so that we will all meet up again in His glorious presence TOGETHER. Thanks for all the nice talks we shared about Jesus. Thank you for being a role model Uncle in marriage and fatherhood, grandfatherhood and in your faith. We will miss all your shinanigans. Remember when you called me when I was a "vulnerable" high school girl and posed as the voice of some boy I had a crush on saying how much you would love to take me on a date and all? Do you recall that shinanigan? My heart nearly missed a beat and caused a heart attack thinking I landed the date of a lifetime only to find out that boy was YOU! Lol. Well, I forgive you because THAT WAS A GOOD ONE UNCLE! See, now I can laugh at your mischievous but cute little " Uncle Pete" giggle. You crack me up just thinking about it. Well, We will miss you Uncle Pete but we will also reunite in the resurrected life. Until then sweet Uncle- enjoy resting in the arms of Jesus. And may the grace of God rest upon Aunt Gail and her family. Cling to all the beautiful moments God gave to you in such a cool and wonderful man. Love, Kip, Sandy, Samuel and Noah

My dear Uncle Pete. I am so sad today to know that you have passed away but I am full of joy knowing that our good and gracious Lord Jesus now has you in his clutches for eternity. Thank you for showing so many of us how to live a life of compassion for others and courage through tribulations. As I promised you in all our visits and conversations, I will live my days and follow your words of advice to work hard, be kind to others, and to remember how short our time on this earth is. Rest peacefully Uncle Pete until we meet again in Heaven.
Your nephew,
Craig

Pete was one-of-a-kind. Always with a smile on his face, and full of kindness and generosity. He was so proud of his family and wanted to spend as much time as possible with his grandchildren. Even though we only met five years ago, we know he touched our lives in a special way. He will be missed by all of his friends here in Florida, and we’re only sorry we cannot be there to lend support to Gail and their family. Rest In Peace, my friend.

I was so sorry to hear from Gail that Pete had passed. I originally got to know Pete through work. Over time he became a valued and trusted colleague. Pete helped me work through some impotand difficult projects at work and was always ready to do whatever it took.
More importantly Pete became a person in my life that I called a great friend. Pete and I were lucky enough to spend many days together fishing, playing golf and enjoying his early morning breakfasts he prepared for a crowd of friends. My wife Tonya and I also got to know Pete's wife Gail and had great times together with them. Everyone that has ever known Pete always says things like Pete is a great guy, Pete is a really nice guy they are all correct and I will miss my friend.

Gail and family: we are so shocked and saddened hearing of Pete's passing! Talk about a great guy, family man, a true friend and you know that you are talking about Pete. No matter what the conversation was about that we were having with Pete, during the conversation he always bought up something about his family and you should know that it was always positive. He loved his family and he knew that his family loved him which is so important. He will be surely missed by all those who were fortunate enough to have known him.

I am absolutely heartbroken to hear of Pete’s passing. I have only known Pete for 8 years but in that time I always admired his kind generous nature and his awesome personality. I always enjoyed our conversations down the shore as well as our texts and emails during the winter months. Always joking with each other. I learned so much from Pete and yes indeed he certainly had a positive attitude about life and really made people feel good about themselves. Pete was “selfless”. I can certainly see he was a incredible husband to his lovely wife Gail and a great father to his children and his grandchildren from the stories he would share with me. My Wife Melissa and My grandfather in-law
Bill are also very heartbroken.
Praying for your family. We love you Pete. Sandy Shores condos will not be the same without you. I will miss you.
RIP my friend.
