Many fond memories of John, mostly from when we worked together at Allied/Bendix. He took me under his wing in 1984 when I was hired on as a Quality Supervisor, often fending off the UAW wolves away from my door. We spoke alot about his family, building houses, working on VW beetles, FAA laws and regulations. He was a top-notch straight shooter, and he taught me well. He was a mentor, always level headed, and smart as a whip. I still have dreams from when I worked there with John, having lunch with him and his friend Bill Eiflander, and laughing at senior management's stupidity.
I loved John, his quick whit and sense of humor where timeless. I will always have great regret, as I wish I had reached out to him after he retired, as I konw we would have continued to be great friends. My thoughs and prayers go out to him and his entire family. Though I left after the Honeywell/L-3 crash in 2000, I will forever remember John as my mentor that helped me get to where I am today.
