Jacobus, Irma M. 90, of Oakland, NJ, passed away Friday, Nov. 2, 2012 at St. Joseph's Wayne Hospital after a short illness. A memorial service and celebration of her life will be held at The Oakland Memorial Home, 330 Ramapo Valley Road, Oakland, NJ. on Monday, Nov. 19, 2012 from 10 AM till Noon. Funeral Service will be at 12 noon. Irma was born on April 20, 1922 to Henry and Irma Sweisguth of Weehawken, NJ. She was married to the late Walter Jacobus, who really was the boy next-door. Together they had one son, James. Irma was a secretary at the Heights School from 1959 till 1987 when she retired. She is survived by her son James, her granddaughter Erin, her grandson Matthew and his wife Adrienne, and her great-granddaughter Emma.
