Pilcer-Sally Anne (nee Burgess) age 72 of Oakland, NJ died on November 2, 2012 in the home of her daughter. Born in Paterson she was raised in Wyckoff, then lived in Oakland for 47 years. Before retiring in 2006 Mrs. Pilcer was a school teacher/nurse at The Valley Middle School, in Oakland NJ for 25 years. She was elected to the Oakland Council in 1990 and was named the fire commissioner, as well as a life time member of the Oakland First Aid Squad. In addition, she was a founder of the Oakland Education Foundation, and a member of the Oakland Emergency Management, a member of the Bergen County Republican Organization, County Committee Chairperson, Rotary International and an active consistory member of the Wyckoff Reformed Church as the chair of the Children's Committee, Personnel, Deacon, and Fair. Member of the Wyckoff chapter of the Eastern Stars, High Mountain Country Club of Franklin Lakes, NJ. Ladies Auxillary of Valley Hospital and a member of the Oakland Republican Club, Oakland, NJ. Loving mother of George F. Breen IV, Ruth E. Kokkinakis, Richard and Dawn Breen. Grandmother of Emily T. Kokkinakis, Sarah Anne Kokkinakis, Kevin Nathaniel Breen, Abigail Grace Kokkinakis, Andrew Dominic Breen, Victoria Kaitlyn Breen, Rachel Carolyn Breen, and Jonathan Robert Breen. Pre-deceased by her parents, Nathaniel Davisson Burgess, (1988) and Ruth Ellen Meyer (1997) both from Wyckoff. Visiting Wednesday, 7-9 pm, Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Oakland Memorial Home, 330 Ramapo Valley Road, Oakland NJ. Funeral Service Friday, 10 am at the Wyckoff Reformed Church. Burial Wyckoff Reformed Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the Oakland Volunteer First Aid Squad and /or the Oakland Volunteer Fire Department.
