Rocco was a good soul. I was on the track team with him at Indian Hills High School. As an indication of how much his teammates loved him, we used to sing a jingle on the bus coming back from our track meets (to the tune of the old Fritos jingle): Aye, Aye, Aye, Aye, my name is Rocco DeMenna. I hurdle, I high jump, I pole vault the best, I get my strength from Fritos and rest…… Good memories, a good and gentle soul.
