Doris Catherine Marchese AKA "Terry" to family- 82 years old, passed away at home after a long illness. Mrs. Marchese was a resident of Ocean Pines Maryland - where she retired in 1996
Doris was born on October 28th 1935 in Morristown NJ to Doris and Louis Kovalcik. She attended Clifton High School - She was the beloved wife of Alfred J Marchese Jr whom she married on Sept 8th 1956 - until his death on March 26 2006. She lived most of her life raising her family in Oakland NJ. Doris was an office manager for Doctor David Meyers - Orthopedics for 15 years and then went on to be the office manager for Vander May Colonial Funeral Home in Wayne NJ until her retirement in 1996. She was a parishioner at St. John Neumann Roman Catholic Church Ocean Pines MD and a member parishioner of the Choir at Holy Savior RC Church in Ocean City Maryland. She was also a member of The Sodality of The Blessed Virgin Mary - a charitable organization that worked with disadvantaged people through alms giving, fund raising and consecrated prayer. Doris enjoyed decorating, reading, cooking and most of all loving and caring for her family.
Doris is survived by her children- Mary Grace Petnel and her husband Bruce, Teresa Roseanne Contento, Eileen Noelle Cohen and her husband Steven. Her beloved son, John Alfred Marchese, predeceased her. Her grandchildren Christina Marie Behrins, Kerri Lynn Herrick, Noelle Teresa Contento and Michael Jacob Cohen also survive her. Her beloved granddaughter Shaina Danielle Cohen predeceased her. Her brothers Joseph Koval of Clifton NJ and Jack Kovalcik of Myrtle Beach SC also survive Doris.

Friends and Family may call on Sunday January 28 at 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm for the viewing.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday January 29 at 10 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church -25 Purdue Ave. Oakland NJ 07436
Burial will be at Christ the King Cemetery Franklin Lakes NJ
