I served with Charles on the fire department in the seventies and worked in construction as a union ironworker next to him as a glass guy. I am so sorry for your families lose he was a true friend to me and a all around great guy!

so sorry to hear of Chucks passing! Its been a number of years since I've seen him but I have very fond memories of him. I knew him from my my school days at Ramapo Regional & Indian Hills High School. He was my friend & Averil also. Unfortunately at my recent visit to a Oakland for 50th class reunion, I was not aware he could see visitors, so did not see him. But many thoughts & prayers have been with him. My sympathies to his friends & family! RIP Chuck!

So,sorry to hear about Chuck. As mentioned by others Oakland was a real tight place growing up and everyone knew each other. We would hang out at The Wigwam and Chuck was an excellent football player as well as friend. I have seen him many times recently at Shop rite and we always had a laugh and hug about growing up. Such a strong and loving man. My brothers and I will truly miss him.

My sincere condolences to Chuck's family. He and I were friends in high school and spent many days hanging at my house. If I wasn't home, he still came and hung out with my mother and did many things for her. When I moved back to the area we used to run into each other food shopping and spent most of our time remembering our high school days. He was a warm and generous man who always had a smile and a hug. May the memories you have comfort you during this difficult time.

My deepest condolences. I went to I.H.H.S with Chuck, played football with him. I spoke with him a few times while I lived in Oakland, never realized he was so sick. Chuck was a great person, and always had a smile for you. He will be missed as well as Averil is. I am sorry I found out too late to be at the service. Again, I am sorry for your loss. Mike Alu

In February of 1964 my family moved from New Milford to Oakland and I attended Ramapo H.S.My first two friends in my new hometown were Chuck Wyant and Danny Jarvis (who passed Several years ago ). I remember walking down to Ramapo Valley Road meeting Chucky and Danny and then going downtown to see friends and in the summer going down to Crystal Lake Where all the kids would hang out. In September of 1964 Indian Hills H.S.opened and me and Chucky played football in the very first year of Indian Hills football. Later on in the season Chucky and I were selected by our teammates as the very first co-captains in the history Of Indian Hills H.S. football.See following post with the newspaper article. After graduation Chucky and I were roommates in our freshmanYear at Monmouth College. I last saw Chucky 3 months ago at his house in Oakland during the 1966 class 50th reunion . Chucky did not attend the reunion but I am very thankful that I got a chance to see him. Chucky God Bless you I will always cherish our friendship and some day hopefully I will see you in heaven. RIP God Speed Chucky. You friend Steve

So sorry for the loss of your Father and Grandfather. I have known him for a very long time he was a wonderful man, always so kind and loving, funny and caring. He was very good friends with my son's father Tom McKeon who passed in 2009. They graduated High School together. I've stayed in touch with him and stopped to see him. With my Grandson, he would give my Grandson Ryan a big hug and say let me hug you and a piece of your Grandpa Tom. I'm heartbroken to hear this news. God Bless You Chuck, God Speed, RIP Love Liz Gabey
