I have never met Mrs Lambert, but I heard a lot about her.
I live in Macamic where she lived too.
Thursday September 14th, there will be a mass for Mrs Lambert in Sanatorium Saint-Jean where she sang in the early 1950.
my condolences

Constance Picnich was a force of energy, and light and love. She was like a second mother to me when Michelle and I were in graduate school at Rutgers. I would sometimes go with Michelle to Fairlawn to escape the craziness and pressures of school. The second I walked into her house I felt a sense of ease and comfort and love.....and music. There was always music. Whether she was teaching a student at the piano, or music was floating from the speakers,or her dachsund, Lola was "singing" at the piano, music ruled! And i think for Constance, music was love. It represented all the things she loved most, and said all the things that words alone cannot express, and was such a part of who she was, that it was hard to imagine one without the other. She understood how to really and truly enjoy the moment, and be present with the people she loved. Every time I was at her house, it felt like a party could happen at any moment.....that something magical was just around the corner. I will miss her laugh, and her joy of life, and her ability to truly love with all her heart. How lucky I was to be a recipient of her love.

I am so terribly saddened ….. I studied singing for many years with Constance, taking few times the week the bus all the way from Manhattan to Fair Lawn. It is in part thanks to her kindness, great support and amazing knowledge about singing that I pursued my career! I send my condolences to her children and their families. Thanks Marc for thinking about letting me know. I am deeply touched and will always carry your mother in my heart. Nicole

Dear Michelle and Marco,
We have so many fond memories. Paramus Barbecues (your dad loved his charcoal grill), cat fishing in the country and jumping around in your family room downstairs. I always remember your mom's French accent yelling at us or calling you "Catherina"! The white piano was always so glamorous to me but that was your mom, Forever French and Glamorous. May you find peace in all the fine memories.
See you Wednesday,
Anna
