Obituary of Robert 'Moe' Fabrizio

Robert “Moe” Fabrizio, 78, of Ringwood, NJ, formerly of Oakland, NJ and born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, passed away on Friday, August 30.
Bob was a Navy veteran during the Vietnam era. He retired from the NYPD in 1979 and owned a contracting business for three decades with locations in Brooklyn, NY and Linden, NJ.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus since 1976, was a Fourth Degree Knight, held the position of Grand Knight and was a staunch supporter and volunteer of the Ramapo Valley Council #5846 in Oakland. Moe was a long-time Chairman of the Oakland Public Events Committee and was instrumental in starting the annual carnival that takes place every June.
Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Marie (nee Gioscia); his two daughters Christine Shields (George) of Wayne, NJ and Amy Daggett of Nazareth, PA; nieces Melissa (James Platt), Melissa Kueny (Josh) and Kristen Gioscia; his six cherished grandchildren Joseph, Julie, TJ, Emily, Dylan and Daniella; brother-in-law Richard Gioscia (Denise) and his best four-legged buddies, Rudy and Cooper.
He was predeceased by his parents Daniel Fabrizio and Victoria (nee Rossi); his brother Daniel and sister-in-law Frances; his son Robert, nephew Darin, in-laws Domenick and Josephine who loved him like a son, and his first Jack Russell Terriers, Samantha, Coopy and Rocky.
