He was a professional ballet dancer with the Hungarian National Ballet until he escaped into Germany in 1964 to get political asylum and immigrated to the United States in 1966. He arrived with a suitcase made of cardboard taped together and was ready to conquer the world. He started at the bottom and after 20 years became the President of Safilo USA. He continued to have a flourishing career in the optical industry for many years.

Frank is survived by his wife Elisabeth of 47 years and his daughter Eva Ross, her husband Jeremy Ross, and their children Luca, Sophia and Leo and daughter Monica Karloczy, her husband Eric Hazard, and their children Alexander and Conrad. He is predeceased by his sister Maria Karloczy.

Frank’s world was his daughters and five grandchildren. Their accomplishments are what got him through these last few years.  Elisabeth was the love of his life, his support system, his caregiver, his partner.
