I loved working with Tom at Gerber and he always made me laugh. We shared a common bond for our love for the Jets and he would always stop by my desk on a Monday morning after a Jets loss and say to me “The Jets shhhhhtink!” Rest in Peace, Tom.

I am so saddened to hear of Tom's passing. Tom was a legend and trail blazer in brand design. He moved mountains and accomplished great things. I worked closely with him on many initiatives at Nabisco. My heart goes out to his family. Tom was so proud of his family, and spoke of Rosanne, Tommy, and David often. My deepest condolences.

Of all my wonderful memories working at Nabisco in the 90s. Working with Tom on more graphics project than I can count is at the top of the list. He was a gifted professional and amazing person. May his memory be a blessing.

Tom’s mastery of graphics and design was well known to the packaged goods industry, and I worked directly with him on many projects at Nabisco. He was kind (showed me the ropes) gifted and funny as hell. My condolences to the family, I am certain he will be missed. RIP Tom, I’m sure there are associate product managers in heaven that could use your help.

We had a great team with Tom at Gerber.
One of his famous quotes that we all loved after his meetings was “You’re free to go.” Then he would throw in “And get back to work!”
We’ll miss you Tom but you’ll always be with us.

I had the good fortune to meet Tom when I was appointed President of Lifesavers. Tom was a consummate designer, always seeking perfection. He always completed any assigned task, - or "challenge", - in short order, and the results were always spot-on. My Dad always said, "one of the ways to judge a man is by the quality of his work". On that basis, - Tom was a first-class design professional. - AND a nicer "fella" one could not wish to meet. Sadly, - Peter Rogers.

So heartbroken to hear of Tom’s passing. He and I both worked at Nabisco and our offices were next to each other. We shared many a fun moment and often grabbed lunch together. My fondest memory was when I was able to secure Super Bowl tickets for Tom and his sons. We stayed at Disney and attended the game where Whitney Huston did her famous rendition of our national anthem. Tom and Roseanne raised two great boys and my wife and I will always remember that wonderful trip. Rest in peace my good friend

Since a wee teen there was always love and laughter in the James house. Roseanne (maybe TMI) used to loving set candles around their tub, for romantic alone time. I always found that so beautiful. The way he would look at her, and the way they met! A story that I will always treasure!
Everyone was always welcome, stories and jokes in abundance... But more so the resounding love just as an entire family unit!
Tom didn't always catch it but best believe Roseanne knew when one little item was out of place like a lamp!
Mr. James was an absolute pillar of integrity, kindness, humor and most importantly love!
To know him was to love not just him but ALL of them...Tommy JR, David, Glen, all the cousins when you went to visit NY... It was like GoodFellas,... The hugging, kissing, welcoming, joking around, everyone wore too much make up and they were all called Paulie or Maria.,. (jk) in this case there were Toms, David's, Rosannes, Glens.,.and so many other cousins and family they held so tightly to.
Forever in my heart and my cherished memories! Such as the BBQ off's the Toms would try to outdo each other grilling!
My heart is broken, yet full at the same time! Real love is rare to witness, yet experience and genuinely feel! You James's got it all from two amazing parents! I am so sorry for your loss. And send you all my love - Michelle Alder xoxo
