Obituary of Carol M Lembo

Carol M. (Van Riper) Lembo, 81, formerly of Paterson, died peacefully on June 7, 2023, after a brief illness.

Carol was a resident of Siena Village in Wayne. She was living her best life enjoying Rummikub, Saturday suppers at the diner with her friends, and a bowl of strawberry ice cream at night.

Carol had a number of jobs during her amazing life, but the most important were Mom and Grammy — at which she excelled.

She is predeceased by her husband, Joseph Lembo.

Carol is survived by her children: Kevin Lembo (Charles Frey), Joseph Lembo (Angela Lembo), Doris Lembo, Karen Lembo Osborn (James Osborn), and their children, whom she loved deeply. She also leaves her sister, Rosemary Heller, and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at the Oakland Memorial Home, 330 Ramapo Valley Road, Oakland, NJ at 10 am on Saturday, June 10th. A brief prayer service will follow at noon. Burial will be private.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Surgical ICU and the Hospice Unit at Morristown Memorial Hospital for their skilled medical care and warm, supportive hearts.
