Dolores -
It was always fun seeing you and Frank pull up to the shore house and visit with Jess and MaryEllen. We would always have a chat outside near your very low car (which I never understood how you both got inside) and sometimes even upstairs, the back deck and occasionally at one of my outdoor front yard parties for one of my girls. We three all thought you two were the cutest couple and you could see the obvious love between you both. I was shocked to hear the news of Frank's passing and I can only hope that you continue to hold on to the fond and wonderful memories you and Frank built together and that, those are the moments that will make you still smile. My deepest condolences to you and your family. My thoughts are with you at this sorrowful time.
Love, Dolores (Dee Ritota)

Ellen & Jörg Liebel posted a condolence

I am writing this in the name of my Mother Ellen Liebel.
My mom met Uncle Frank only very few times in her life. At Daryl and my wedding and at the rare occasion when she was visiting us here in the US. Even when they met given that my mom speaks very little English conversations were hard.
What she loved about Frank was the fact that he not only always asked ‘How do you do’ but that she always felt he meant it. He had this ability to make everyone feel included and loved. He spent time with her, having me translate and having a little chit chat and that made my mom very happy.
Thank you for that Uncle Frank

Frank and Dolores reentered My life recently. He was searching for me and we rekindled a friendship. We were good friends for many years in school and afterwards and then lost touch.
I remember him restoring his beloved 1934 Ford Roadster. I had no mechanical ability and would hand him tools and hold the spotlight at dusk. We would ride the streets, I sitting in the Rumble sest with Patti Paterson, he driving with Dolores up front. We were stopped so many times by the cops, that I lost count.
I was so looking forward to our late life friendship and with grief feel cheated to not once again get to know a great friend.
Tony

These are always so hard to write and put into proper words. Thank you Frank & Dolores for all the unmeasurable things you've done for The Savastano family.
