I only had Mr. Bednarek for 7th grade homeroom (FAMS Class of ‘90), not math. Still, I remember some of his lessons to this day, e.g. “A guy applied for a prestigious job. For the final interview, the bosses took him out for dinner. But he ruined his chances when he ordered steak and seasoned it with salt and pepper before tasting it. You can’t trust a man who makes decisions without first evaluating the situation.” May this outstanding teacher’s memory be eternal. Condolences to his family.
