So sad to read of Pete’s passing. My sincerest condolences to the Kendall family. Pete and I started out as political adversaries but over a short course of time, we became good friends. Pete was a caring man of great integrity and I enjoyed my time sitting on the Council with him as well as when I was Mayor.
It makes me very sad that I will be away and unable to attend Pete’s wake and funeral and give my condolences to his family in person. My thoughts and prayers will be with him, and them, as Pete makes his final trek through Oakland. May Pete rest in perpetual peace in Heaven.
