Obituary of Liming Kuhns
Please share a memory of Liming to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Liming Kuhns, age 71, of Oakland, NJ, passed away March 18, 2022, in Oradell, NJ, from complications of COVID-19. She was born on October 19, 1950, the second of six children, in Taipei, Taiwan, where she also attended National Taiwan Normal University. Liming immigrated to the U.S. in 1973 and worked for over 20 years as a translator for the U.S. Department of Justice. She was an avid gardener, a resourceful creative, a dedicated casual hoarder, and an intrepid world traveler who made, and connected, lifelong friends everywhere she went—she never met a stranger. Her lifelong passion was helping others in any way she possibly could, and she will be forever remembered and missed for her kindness, intensity, curiosity, and delightful malapropisms (otherwise known as “Limingisms”). Not a single day went by when Liming was not her full authentic, genuine self. Liming is survived by her husband, Joseph; her son, Alex, and his three children, Liam, Colin, and Danny; her daughter, Mary; and a multitude of friends whom she was blessed to know. She was preceded in death by her mother, Yang Ying Hao, and father, Xiao Jing Zhi.
The Kuhns family has asked that all visitors wear a mask or face covering while in the funeral home regardless of their vaccination status.
