Obituary of Hershel Leland Mason

Obituary for Hershel (Jack) Mason Hershel L Mason known as Jack, 91, passed away August 22, 2021. He was born on May 17, 1930 in Owensville Indiana. He is preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Louise Mason. Also preceded in death are his father Hershel Mason, mother Alice Hopkins and his two older sisters Jane and Rose. A loving father, he is remembered by his children John (Teri) Mason and Joanna Frommling. As well as his grandchildren Beckie (Michael) Cicala, Amy (Kevin) McCabe, Christi (Johnny) Feliciano, Kevin (Emily) Mason, and Brian (Bekah) Mason. In addition he had 5 great grandchildren, Benjamin and William Mason, Michaela and Mason Cicala, and Sophia Feliciano. Jack and Louise were married in 1952 and lived in California for a few years before moving back to Indiana. They moved to Ohio in 1969. After Louise died in 1993 Jack eventually settled in New Jersey with his daughter Joanna (Sis) where he spent several years enjoying his grandchildren and great grand-children. Jack served his country during the Korean Conflict as a Navy corpsman. At his request there will be no memorial services held in New Jersey. He will be cremated and his ashes will be combined with the ashes of his beloved wife Louise and at a later date in a private ceremony spread at a place where they enjoyed spending time together
