PAULK, Thomas James “TJ”, age 25, of Oakland, New Jersey, at peace June 24, 2016. Beloved son of Stacey J. Clack of Winder, GA. He is survived by his brothers, Christopher P. Clack and Douglas R. Paulk, his maternal grandparents, Joan and Gerald Clack, his step-father, Cory Buckalew, his step-grandfather, Robert Buckalew, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, and by his very best friend, Kristen Lynn. His quietness was too often misinterpreted. He tried mightily his whole too short life to understand others, to be accepting of all with whom he came in contact. It wasn’t always easy, but that never deterred him. TJ was loyal to his friends, always putting their needs and wishes ahead of his own. He had a fondness for, and a special way with animals such that every horse, dog and cat he ever met was drawn to and trusting of him. He was fiercely but quietly proud of his Cherokee and Blackfoot heritage. TJ had immense respect for the traditions of ancient mythology, medieval knights and contemporary superheroes, all rooted in the core concepts of honor and duty, concepts TJ held dear. Gifts in TJ’s memory may be made to Warrior Outreach, 6388 Georgia Highway 219, Fortson, GA 31808.
