John Louis Rogic, 79 of Ringwood, NJ, passed away in peace with his wife and daughter by his side on January 28, 2021. He was born on August 16, 1941 in New York, New York to Rose and George Rogic of Hell’s Kitchen. He worked as a longshoreman for the City of New York and then terminal manager for Manhattan Cruise Terminals for a combined 44 years. He was a proud member of ILA Local 824. He also served in the United States Army, stationed in Puerto Rico as a military police officer from 1964-1966. In addition, he owned and operated the clothing boutique, Hetero, in North Bergen, NJ.
John enjoyed many hobbies over the years including tending to his many plants, interior design, and fishing. He also loved spending time with his beloved dogs and cats.
He was preceded in death by his son Jonathan Rogic and is survived by his loving wife Diana Rogic, daughters Rose Rogic and Tara Rogic, granddaughter Daniella Rogic, and son-in-law Stathi Protonotarios. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral and church services will be for immediate family.
