Obituary of Linda W Greenfield

Linda W. Greenfield, 79, of Oakland, New Jersey passed away peacefully on January 21, 2021. Linda was born on March 9, 1941 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania to the late Wallace and Clara Williams (nee Dussinger). She grew up in Lititz, PA and attended Warwick High School, graduating in 1959. That same year she was in the Queen of Candles Court in Lititz. She went on to earn her RN at Reading School of Nursing in 1961. She then worked for the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and an Oral Surgeon in Philadelphia before marrying Dr. John W. Greenfield on June 11, 1966. They moved to Caribou, Maine for 2 years where John was stationed as a Captain in the Air Force. They then moved to Teaneck for 10 years before settling in Oakland, NJ where she lived for the past 42 years. She is survived by her devoted son, John and his wife Christine, and daughter Kendra and her husband Tom Zalewski, and was the adored Oma of Emma, Ian and Samuel and her beloved Bernese Mountain dog, Linus. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, John, of 50 years, her daughter Tracy Lynne, and her sister and brother-in-law Priscilla and John Pilon of Lititz, PA. Linda became an EMT in 1993 and was a lifetime member of the Oakland Ambulance Squad. She was an avid reader, card and Mahjong player, skier and loved gardening. She also loved Jeopardy and watched nightly. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends in Vermont. She was a longtime member of the Kennel Club of Northern New Jersey. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 AM, Monday January 25, 2021 at Hackensack Cemetery, Hackensack, NJ
