I remember working with Bob back in the 90's. We became great friends and had long conversations about his family, and life in NY. I lived in Atlanta at the time, but was originally from NY and we had a lot in common with similar interests. We had a great working friendship, and all these years later I still think of him. I left the HVAC industry, and our communication in early 2000, and now am back in the industry again and looked to see if my friend was still with Abco, or if I could see when he retired. I found this site and wanted to share with his family and others, that he was a great man, a good friend, and a wonderful human. You are missed Bob.

I had the pleasure of working with Bob at Trane. We had both worked for Carrier as well. Bob was not just a workmate but a friend. We shared many talks about how important our families were to us. I imagine that is why we got along so well. He was kind, caring and smart. I enjoyed our after hours "Sales Meetings" over a couple of drinks discussing the days events but most of all talking about family. He will be sorely missed. My sympathy to Bette and family for your loss.
Sincerely,
John Stanchak

My deepest condolences to the White family upon the loss of someone I considered to be a good friend. I have known and dealt with Bob for over 30 years going back to the Blasco Supply house days. He was always committed to helping out in any way he could, whenever a friend needed him.
I admired his kind and generous way and appreciated knowing the kind of person he was, as he often spoke so lovingly of his family. He will surely be missed, as a gentleman like him is a rarity in this world.
Sending all of my prayers... God Bless.

My sincere condolences to Bette, Meagan, Heather, Kyle, although I never met Kyle, I do have his picture from your last Christmas card, thank you. A mutual friend reached out and let me know Monday of Bob's passing, what a shock. It’s been a short 30 years since I lived in Oakland and was close with Bob, we did speak every few years, the last time I offered to buy lunch when I was visiting White and Shauger in Paterson. Bob had recently left Trane and we could not make a lunch meeting work out. While in Oakland Bob took me under his arm and was my HVAC teacher and friend. Bob was even kind enough to hire me on weekends to help install AC systems, I needed some extra income, and I learned a skill I still use today for friends and family. This brings us to the picture I enclosed. Bob bought me the tools I needed for the job and we had a third helper who liked to wonder home with our tools. Bob's solution, he and I painted our tools two different colors, mine were blue, this way we could quickly scan our co-worker’s toolbox and spot any of our tools. Well, I still have and use those tools and yes, they are still painted blue. Every time I use my tools, I see the blue and think of you Bob. Thank you, my friend, I will miss you and I am sorry we never got together for that lunch. Bette, thank you for your kindness when I lived in Oakland and I pray for you and your children during this difficult time.
Sincerely
Richard Reichenbach - Syracuse NY.
