Obituary of Joseph G Vrindten

Joseph G Vrindten, 86, died peacefully on November 12, 2020. He was the loving husband of Patricia (nee) Blaber for 59 years. He was the devoted father of James, Mary Beckert, (predeceased) by Joseph and Robert. He was a father-figure to our loving daughter-in-law Erin whom dad adored. He was the dedicated grandfather to Amanda, Brittany, Bradley, Christopher, Gracie, Ryan and Kiera. They were the joy of his life! Joseph graduated from Xavier High School, St. Peter’s University and received a Master’s Degree in Chemistry from The New Jersey Institute of Technology. He was employed at Lehn & Fink for thirty years. Joseph was a Deacon in the Archdiocese of Newark. He ministered at St. Francis Church in Hackensack and Ramapo College of New Jersey. He loved ministering to his dear friends at the Prospect Heights Nursing Home for many years. He also enjoyed teaching the students at St. Francis School. He was Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus 5846 in Oakland as well as a Fourth Degree Knight. He was also a Scoutmaster for his three sons. He shared his many gifts with the people he served and loved and truly left his mark on the hearts of many. His children and grandchildren were the center of his world and they felt and will continue to feel, the full embrace of his love and devotion.
