Aunt Pat,
You have my sincerest sympathy for losing the hope that Uncle Nic would fully recover, and empathy that you are unable to continue supporting him through that difficult battle. I can only imagine the grief you feel is overwhelming, based on the positivity I felt Everytime I was around you both. As a child- I remember my Dad speaking so highly about you both that his respect and admiration continue inspiring my feelings today. (Almost 11 years after he died) please be comforted that they are watching over us together, and know the love, understanding, and bonds created are stronger than our bodies. Death give us the ability to expand our Love by showing us the love they shared with others. Mourning our loss, sharing stories, and keeping their spirit alive in our actions is a beautiful celebration of life.
I would be honored to celebrate with you, listen to your happy stories, appreciate the lessons from the challenges, and do what I can to keep the blessing of Dominic John Hoppe's LIFE continuing on.
