Linda and Diane, we are so sorry for the loss of your Mom. She was the personification of a good neighbor whether it was getting the mail for us while we were on vacation or waiting for a delivery while we were at work. And we always looked forward to her homemade cookies at Christmas time. Bob and I always enjoyed chatting with her as laughter would always be part of the conversation. She always kept us abreast of what was going on in the neighborhood with her editorial comments that would have us howling with laughter. Since she moved to the area 20 years before us, she was a great historian for us about the neighborhood and Oakland in general. Today we took a drive to Oakland and went down Silver Birch and I pictured Dot in her yard, where she frequently could be found, and said a prayer for her.
With sympathy,
Sue and Bob Panek
