Obituary of Robert W Drescher

Robert W. Drescher, 86 passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on March 31, 2020. Robert was born on May 25, 1933, in West New York, NJ to the late Emanuel and Dorothy Drescher. Robert was the youngest of four children, Emanuel (deceased) Dorothy (deceased) and Frank (deceased). Robert attended St. Mary's Grammar School in West New York and Holy Family High School of Union City, NJ. Robert is predeceased by his wife Maureen (McGuire) and son Robert. He is survived by his daughter's Maureen Van der Ree (Peter) Karen Lawton (Richard) MaryEllen Scheideler (Peter) and his son Michael Drescher (Barbara) His 7 grandchildren, Jennifer, William, Heather, Linda, Emily, Stephen and Robert along with his 2 great-grandchildren Eddie and Joey. Robert proudly served in the U.S Army (Korean War) worked for AT&T for 37 years in management positions. Robert was a member of the Telephone Pioneers, Charter Member of The Knights of Columbus Council 5427 and a member of Council 7282, American Legion Post 246 & VFW. Robert lived in the Township of Washington, NJ for 36 years, was a member of Our Lady of Good Council Church which he helped build. Robert retired and moved to Sun City Center, FL and became a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. A memorial service will be held at a later date due to the Coronavirus Pandemic
