Hey Bonnie, Fred, Tori, Pete, and Mary, I remember so many times of your mom's happiness and smiles all the times together with the whole family. I remember the times how she liked so much to play all those games at the dining room table with all the kids in Oakland. And how she looked forward to those time with the entire family together. I remember her always taking the time to visit at Bonnie's house in Pa. She was always so young at heart. So spirited and full of life. She fit right in with her children like she was 40 years younger. Always exercising to keep in shape. Even when I offered to carry a lamp for her, she refused, saying it was how she got her exercise in. She kept her house and herself so nice. Always remembering her country style that she was so fond of. She was such a pleasure and pleasant person to be around. She exuded happiness. I only wish those happy moments of her life and example for all the Krauses.
Sincerely and with fond memories, Lynn Hudzina

I have been reminiscing the things my Mom has done for, and with, me over the years. She taught me to read, write, and enjoy the little things in life. She took me food shopping with her all the time (after my Dad had passed) and called me “Her Little Helper”. She wrote me poems on a napkin and put them in my lunch bag for school. She helped with the Red Sox softball team I was on (she was Asst. Coach). She took me swimming almost everyday during the summer, and let me go to Maine ,in August, to see my cousins! She taught me to bake, and I could go on & on.
But most important right now, is that she is out of pain and in a better place! I will miss her and think of her fondly everyday. Just as I do my Dad, my Aunts and Uncles, my Grandparents, and my daughters. All who I have lost. But, they are all together and loving each other.
Mom, I miss you and will love you always!
xoxo

I will always have fond memories of Bernice and her years as Secretary at OLPH. She was always a very kind and considerate person, who would do anything to help out. There was a time when my son Ed, then a first-grade student of OLPH, wasn't allowed to run around the playground at lunchtime for several months for a temporary medical reason (he's now almost 39). Bernice took it upon herself to see that she had something for him to do, errands to run, etc., as many days as possible, just so that he wouldn't be so bored. I'm sure this took away from her own lunch break, but that's just the way she was. Always there to help out.
She was a lovely person, and someone who will never be forgotten by those at OLPH who knew and loved her. Rest in peace, lovely lady.

I will miss my last surviving aunt. She was a very special lady. She and my Mom
took driving lessons when none of the moms I knew could drive. As a team, they
could hold their own against my Dad and Uncle George in tennis, bowling and skeet
shooting. When I grew up, Bernice also became my friend. I will always have my
memories of our travels together. Rest in Peace, Aunt Bernice.

Mrs. Kraus was friends with my parents before I was born and the earliest memories I have of Mrs. Kraus was being very young and my mother would take me over to her house to play with her children. I also remember Mrs. Kraus taking her children over to my house to play with me.and her giving me a chocolate bar several times when she came over to our house. As I got older my parents would take me over to her house to picnics she had where I would be playing with her children and other children there and I remember her house being a very busy place. Some adults would find this very stressful but Mrs.Kraus seemed to enjoy everyone having fun. When Mr. Kraus passed away she was unprepared for it as most women of that time would be and she put her personal feelings aside and took over her husbands duties as well as her own and kept her family together. I don't believe anyone could have done a better job than Mrs. Kraus did with this. I personally feel a great loss with her passing away and will always have fond memories of her.
