Obituary of George John Burik

Burik, George John of Ringwood passed away at home on Monday, May 16th. He was born in Passaic, and resided for many years in Bloomingdale, where he was active as a Fireman, School Board Member, and Zoning Board Member. During the past 17 years George and his family lived in the Beautiful Borough of Ringwood. George retired from a long career as a logistics manager for Bayer Health Products. He dedicated his retirement time to serving at Eva's Village Kitchen, assisting patients at Chilton Memorial Hospital, and gave tours of Ringwood Manor. Many afternoons he would spend with his grandchildren doing homework, and playing. He also enjoyed visiting with Oakland Seniors at the Borough center. George loves his church, His Word Ministries, where he ushered and made the best cup of coffee in their cafe. He loved feeding jokes to Pastor Scott, for many of his sermons. George leaves behind his wife Rose Marie Burik of 44 years, his son Daniel M Burik, daughter Catherine Burik, and son in law Frank Lowell. He will be missed dearly by the six loves of his life, Karlee Rose, Lizzy, Christian, Noah, Danielynn, and Dillon. George was survived by his brother John Burik and sister Mariann Sloven, Sister in law Linda Gutch, and Brother in law John Gutch, and many nieces and nephews. He was blessed with many good friends. Viewing will be held at Oakland Memorial Home 330 Ramapo Valley Road Oakland NJ, on FRIDAY, MAY 20th from 2-4PM and 6-8 PM.
