Obituary of Estelle Friedman

Estelle (Fisher) Friedman of Bloomingdale, NJ passed away on September 21, 2019.  Estelle was born in

Kingston, NY on August 07, 1920.  She lived in Pompton Lakes for over 50 years. She was a wonderful

wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

Estelle is predeceased by her beloved husband of 62 years Albert Friedman, and loving daughter Claire.

She is survived by daughter Paula Scoppetta of Ogdensburg, NJ, son in law Michael, grandson Daniel

Scoppetta of Sparta, NJ and wife Christina.

 

Estelle was employed with JSC Wire and Cable as a Bookkeeper for many years before retiring to work

part time with Martab Medical.

 

Throughout her life she enjoyed playing Mahjong, was a chaperone for Stardusters all girl Drum and Bugle

Corp. and took frequent trips to Atlantic City with friends.  In her spare time she was also a volunteer at

Chilton Medical Center.

 

The family will receive friends from 3pm - 7pm on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at Oakland Memorial

Funeral Home,  330 Ramapo Valley Rd., Oakland, NJ 07436.  Services will be held on Wednesday, September

25, 2019 at 10am to be followed by burial at Beth El Cemetery, Twp of Washington, NJ.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations in Estelle's memory may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
