Rosalie "Lil" (nee Scibetta) Orlando Maurer, age 94, of Lakewood, NJ, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, March 4, 2016. Born in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ, on October 2, 1921, Rosalie was a former resident of Oakland, NJ, before moving to Lakewood in 2006. Rosalie had been an active parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Oakland, NJ. She was a member of the Rosary Altar Society and a volunteer for the parish school as a cafeteria aide and sewing instructor. Wife of the late Charles J. Orlando who passed away in 1984 and the late William Maurer who passed away in 2005; she was the mother of the late Rosanne Woods who passed away in 1979 and the late Thomas Orlando who passed away in 1995; she was the sister of the late Carl and Paul Scibetta. Rosalie is survived by her children, Charles J. Orlando, Jr. and Rita Brossett both of Lakewood; six grandchildren, Brynne, Melissa, Michele, John, Jennifer and Brian; and eleven great-grandchildren, Astrid, Hannah, Kylie, Sophie, Jack, Nell, Van, Nate, Benjamin, Michael, and Rachael. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 9, 2016 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the D'Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Ave., Lakewood, NJ 08701. Visitation and Funeral services will also be Friday, March 11, 2016 from 8- 930am at the Oakland Memorial Home, 330 Ramapo Valley Road, Oakland, NJ 07436. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 11, 2016 at 10am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Oakland. Burial will follow in the Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah, NJ.
