SCHAEDLER, JOHN N., loving husband, father, and grandfather, aged 85 of Ringwood, NJ died Wednesday, May 13, 2015. Born in Jamaica, NY, he lived in East Northport, Long Island; Mahwah, NJ and, most recently, in Ringwood for the past 30 years. John was active with the Cub Scouts in East Northport as well as a member of the Mahwah Board of Education. He developed and ran a successful graphic arts studio and PINWHEEL silkscreen franchise system; as well as creating the SCHAEDLER Precision Rule. Surviving are his wife, Betty, of 64 years; and his children; Bill, and wife Edie of Ringwood; Carol, of Tucson, AZ; and Steven, and wife Krys of Plano, Texas. Also surviving are his 5 grandchildren; Scott, Jenna, Danielle, Alyssa, and Peter Schaedler. Visiting is Saturday from 2-5 PM at the Oakland Memorial Home, 330 Ramapo Valley Road, Oakland, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Alzheimer's Association - alz.org.
