To the family of Doris Lane,
Although I only met her a few times, I could see the type of woman that she was. She definitely left her mark and may you have all the good memories to remember her by.

Laurie, Russ and the family of Doris Lane
Our family wishes to extend to all of you our sincere sympathy and prayers. Very rarely is there a person who stands out as dramatically as Doris did. In the few times that I was fortunate to be in Doris' company, she won my admiration and always seemed to gain the respect and attention that her presence created. You all are so fortunate that such a classic charming mother has laid the groundwork for three families to march on carrying her brilliant legacy forward
Fondly, Betty Sullivan and Family.

I have so many memories of Doris from singing at Presentation- but then coming to realize I lived across the street from 1 daughter when I lived in Oakland and another daughter when I started cantoring at OLPH. Always classy, wise, funny- truly a wonderful presence.

Dear Laurie, I too have many find childhood memories of your mom. Cheerleading, field trips, school concerts, etc. She was always your biggest fan! One inarticulate memory of your mom was, I believe we we're in the 5th or 6th grade and your mom had a birthday party for you and it seemed to invite every girl in the 6, 7 & 8th grade and put together a fabulous scavenger hunt (I still believe the Ciaccio twins cheated! lol) We all had such a great time that my family had to hear about it for months! May this beautiful lady, in the true meaning of beauty, rest in the sweetest of peace and you & sisters find comfort in your memories of her. Loretta

Doris always made me laugh and I had great conversations with her as a college student! She welcomed me like a daughter to any family gathering Katie took me to while at Fordham and then Columbia University. I hadn't seen her for such a long time, living so far away but her memory will live in my heart forever. God Bless, Lisa Peddle Smith and family

Beth -
I will always remember your mother (although I never really knew her) as an elegant and classy woman who always lit a place up just by being present. I remember her from the couple of times she came in and sang with our choir, a good number of years ago.
I know how hard it is to lose a mother (as an only child). At least you can be thankful that you have two sisters with whom to share your grief and keep the memory of your mom alive for a long time to come.
Bless you all at this exceedingly hard time.
Rose

Laurie,
This is never easy but, from what I read, she led a full life. My memories of your family are vague since the are from the early 70s; but from what I recall she was a jovial woman who would bring joy to any event. Much like her daughter.
Bless
Mark
