Adele Dobson, 86 years old, longtime resident of Mahwah, passed away
peacefully on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 with son Henry by her side.
Dear sister to Laura Kremzner and late husband Stanley and sister to
the late Donald DeWinne and wife Addie. Beloved mother to daughter,
the late Audrey Dobson Eldib and husband Osman and son Henry Dobson and
wife Suzanne. Proud grandmother of John Dobson. Beloved aunt of
Nancy, Mary, Barbara, Janet, Bill, and Diane. Loving caretaker of many
cats, pets and strays, particularly the love of her life, Charlie, and
many wild creatures who made it into her yard and into her heart. Adele
grew up in Paterson with her two siblings. She proudly attended
Eastside High School. She remained close with many of her school
friends over the years, attending all her reunions, at time hosting
parties at her house. Adele plunged into the workforce following high
school and was employed in various business positions. She later
married the late Henry Dobson. She enjoyed being a stay at home mom
following the birth of her children. She loved her home in Mahwah and
her neighbors. Adele later returned to the work force and held
secretarial positions for many years before her retirement. Adele
enjoyed people. She collected many relationships over the years and
cherished spending time with her family and friends. In recent years
she would often be found chatting away on the phone with a loved one or
sending a card to a friend. She was active in her church over the years
and an avid contributor to various charities, particularly those for
animals and children. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th
from 2 PM until 4 PM and from 6:30 PM until 8:30 PM at the Oakland
