Although it has been some time, I will never forget the fun lessons learned from Mr. Shutte, along with his astute philosophy to sports and life. He touched so many lives in countless ways. My thoughts, prayers and deepest condolences go out to his wonderful family; as I fondly recall the times together from long ago.
Despite how complex life becomes, I still count on “Pop Shutte’s” guidance to help me manage tough moments, as he fittingly repeated with an unlit cigar “it’s a very simple game…”
May he rest in peace reunited with his wife in the presence of our Lord, and may his family always find comfort in his memory.
