I had the priviledge to be a guest in her house for several times. She was what the Portuguese call " a mulher de idade" - a lady. And a lady she was.She took me to Broadway - always looking beautiful and dressed up-to the nines, and to many places in NY and showed me the way they are and the way they used to be. We had a martini on the porch and she was a marvellous bride's mother . I adored her. And I will never forget her. Rest at peace, my dear Caroline. You were a very very special person.
